2024

Distribution of Magni Telehandlers

2020

Avesco Finland
On 1 January 2020, Avesco took over Caterpillar’s distribution business in Finland, adding 240 employees to the Avesco Group.

2019

Distribution of Fliegl Products
Avesco strengthened its transport solutions expertise by adding Fliegl construction and municipal technology products, later followed by Fliegl trailers.

2017

Distribution of BAUER Products
From 1 October 2017, Avesco assumed responsibility for sales and customer service of BAUER products in Switzerland.

2016

Avesco Baltics
On 1 October 2016, Avesco took over Caterpillar’s distribution in the Baltic States. Three national companies – in Riga (Latvia), Tallinn (Estonia) and Vilnius (Lithuania) – joined the Avesco Group with around 140 employees.

2015

Distribution of Sandvik Products in Austria / KLEMM Products in Switzerland
Sandvik transferred sales and service of its machines in Austria to Avesco, which established a new branch near Linz. In the same year, Avesco expanded its drilling expertise in geothermal and specialist foundation engineering by adding KLEMM products.

2014

Foundation of FastRent / Container Rental
Avesco founded FastRent and launched the first fully online platform for the rental of construction machinery. In the same year, Avesco Rent expanded its “Event Industry Services” by offering container rentals.

2010

Mobile Processing
New products from Finlay and Backers strengthened Avesco’s competence in mobile material processing.

2008

Distribution of Thwaites Dumpers
Avesco took over the distribution of Thwaites dumpers in Switzerland.

2007

Distribution of HITEC Products
Avesco became the Swiss and Liechtenstein distributor for HITEC products in the field of uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

2006

Distribution of Schwing Stetter Products
Avesco began representing Schwing Stetter products for concrete transport and placement.

2005

Foundation of Chronoflex
Avesco founded its subsidiary Chronoflex, launching the first mobile hydraulic hose repair service.

2002

Foundation of Avesco Rent
Avesco AG established Avesco Rent AG (The Cat Rental Store) for its rental business. 

2001

Name Change to Avesco AG / New Construction Technology Products
Ulrich Ammann AG was renamed Avesco AG. While remaining part of the Ammann Group, Avesco became a legally independent company. KAESER compressors expanded the construction technology product range.

1999

Creation of the Construction Technology Division
The new business unit introduced additional brands such as Tamrock, Sandvik, Rammer, and SIG.

1931

Caterpillar Dealership in Switzerland
Ulrich Ammann AG signed a dealership agreement with Caterpillar for Switzerland, becoming the second country outside the USA authorised to distribute Cat products.

1911

Ammann Motor Rollers
Production of the first Ammann motor road rollers began.

1896

Relocation to Langenthal
The company moved to Langenthal, next to the Central Railway loading platform.

1869

Foundation of Ammann Mill Construction Workshop
The Ammann mill construction workshop was founded in Madiswil.
