On the last weekend of summer, the Dolomite quarry was transformed into a unique event venue, bringing together music, lights, and impressive Cat® equipment.
On August 28, Avesco took part in the unique “Marso kanjonai” event, held at the operating AB “Dolomitas” quarry in Pakruojis District. Usually a busy working
environment, the quarry was transformed for one evening into an impressive event venue where music, lights, technology and heavy
equipment came together.
The unique surroundings gave the event its distinctive character. The impressive dolomite landscapes, vast quarrying areas and heavy machinery operating on site created an atmosphere that would be difficult to find at a traditional concert or event venue. The quarry is opened to visitors only once a year, and this time they had the opportunity to experience it from a completely different perspective – not only as a place of everyday work, but also as a space for an extraordinary experience. The event opened with an impressive dolomite dust explosion, which instantly sent a huge cloud of dust into the air and became one of the most memorable moments of the evening. The evening continued with performances by various artists, and the event was crowned by a spectacular fireworks show!
One of the highlights of the event was the impressive heavy equipment on display. Visitors had the opportunity to see and get to know different Cat® machine models up close. The event featured impressive Cat 320 excavators, while much larger models – the Cat 352 and Cat 374 excavators – are used
for everyday operations in the quarry.
Visitors could also see the Cat D8 dozer and the powerful Cat 972 XE wheel loader. This equipment perfectly demonstrates the scale and capabilities required for everyday quarry operations.
We are delighted to have been part of this event and to have experienced an evening where power, technology, industry and music came together in one place.
